Patrick Cantlay took his eighth PGA Tour title – and his third playoff win – by successfully defending in the BMW Championship. Cantlay earned enough FedExCup points to move into second place in points entering the final. He also collapsed a nice sum of money, with $2.7 million.
He was not the only player to benefit. Scott Stallings only finished in second place and received the largest salary of his career. In fact, it was more than he had made in 10 of his 12 full Touring seasons.
